If
you like what the NZWT is doing, there are various ways
in which you can help:
At
home
-
Your
interest alone is valuable support. Like all organizations
whose entire efforts are
volunteer-based and all time is donated, NZWT's ability
to achieve its aims depends on adequate funding. Any contribution
you make will be gratefully accepted, acknowledged and
a receipt issued. Please indicate if you wish your donation
to be spent on a particular aspect,
eg., "moose camera project", "DNA research",
"child education" "books about wildlife"
or some other facet.
Please make your cheque out to:

To
keep abreast of NZWT projects you may like to become a
subscribed NZWT Member and receive regular up-date
newsletters. Please write to the Trust Manager or e-mail
any of the Trustees, so your interest will be noted when
publication commences.
Helping
with the Fiordland Moose Project:
To
the few hardy souls who seriously visit Fiordland wilderness,
NZWT is keen to provide a forum for sharing information
about moose; collectively all our efforts will result in
a better understanding of them in Fiordland. Please contact
the Manager.
-
Evidence
of moose, especially browsing evidence, differs conspicuously
from red deer sign to a good observer. Further searching
near these areas may yield snagged hair or fresh droppings
capable of successful DNA profiling. Package and label
the sample carefully, keeping any hair dry and send to
the Manager who will arrange analysis, and you will be
advised of results.
-
Perhaps
you know someone who has had a first-hand contact with
moose in earlier days. If they are willing to share their
story New Zealand's wildlife history will be the richer
for it.
Please contact Ken
Tustin or the Trust Manager.
